Visit to The Canstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart

It was again another interesting trip we had last weekend as we visited Canstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart, Germany. This festival only started as an agricultural event sometime in 1818 and turned into people festival. It is also considered to be one of the biggest festival in the world and known to be the second after Munich's Oktoberfest. It is estimated that this festival is visited every year by around 4.2 million people from all over the world. No wonder, there were thousands of visitors during our visit last weekend. This year's celebration takes place from September 24 to October 10, 2010. More images and information about this festival in my Travel and Explore Germany site.

Here are images we took last weekend.

striking a pose at Canstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart, Germany. Like Oktoberfest, you can enjoy different rides in this festival.

one of the big beer tents in Canstatter Wasen. If I am not mistaken there are only around four or five big beer tents in this festivals. Of course, there are small ones too.

the Ferris wheel on my background and also another big beer tents that can occupy more or less four thousand people inside.
